BLOB Universe Encyclopaedia

BLOB-

a.k.a. Hero BLOB, Space Sheriff BLOB
Secret Identity: 'Bob Normalsman', Emanuhop Zornington (?)
Base of Operations: Innocentville/Blobton
Description: He is a man who has the power to turn into any amount of any liquid. Consequently, he can grow to any size. He has a misshapen head and exaggerated features. His long, deformed Nose (see entry Nose) was removed by the Red-Head in 'BLOB 6: Secret of the Blobtonite'. He operates usually out of Innocentville, although he claims to have visited 'the Planet Blobton' on several occasions. The existence of such a planet has not been confirmed.
Origin: Several variants and rumors exist as to the origin of BLOB, most of them spread by the man himself. The most prevalent are listed here:
1. As a boy, he was locked in the shower/stayed in the shower too long, which caused him to turn into water.
2. He is an alien from the Planet Blobton.
3. He was pushed into a vat of acid (by Pingy?) and gained powers from this.
4. He is the inheritor of the elemental Power of Water.

Cloudman-
Alias: Cloudman's Secret Identity
Base of Operations: his golden house, which floats on a cloud.
Origin: When, as a toddler, Cloudman's Secret Identity threw a pair of scissors into the sky, it flew to the sun, snipping a piece off, which fell on him and gave him a slew of interesting powers, such as flight, bopping, and the ability to produce lightning bolts!
Description: Cloudman is a boy who uses his abilities to help people and to make rain through cloud-seeding when the weather is hot and dry.

Doctor Von Blimpo-

(No known aliases)
Base of Operations: a grey dirigible, occasionally his black-and-white laboratory.
Origin: Eastern Europe, probably born in the 1920s.
Description: This evil fiend wishes to turn the entire world black and white. He is under the impression that the whole world was black and white before the 1930s, since films from then were not in color. He briefly accomplished his plans to turn the whole world black and white, by spreading a black and white-ifying powder from his dirigible, but was promptly defeated by BLOB, who turned the world to normal colors again (see HERO BLOB 2: THE DASTARDLY DEEDS OF DOCTOR VON BLIMPO).
He changed his strategy later, when he focused on changing the world to sepia. His lab assistant was horribly mutilated by BLOB while stealing chocolate for these experiments, and Doctor Von Blimpo transformed him into the cyborg horror known as Mechani-Blob. Doctor Von Blimpo's plans were never accomplished this time, as Mechani-Blob betrayed him and tossed him to the moon (in a scene deleted from the stage version of BLOB IX). On the moon, however, Doctor Von Blimpo was thrilled to see that all was black and white, his greatest wishes fulfilled (see HERO BLOB IX: WRATH OF THE TUNA QUEEN). He has not been heard from since.

Innocentville-

Information: This is a city in Texas, roughly a day's walk from the future site of Cloudsville. During the BLOB Movie series, however, Cloudsville has not yet been built, and only the Atomic Power Plant exists where Cloudsville will be.
The governmental system of the city is extraordinary; a City Parliament seems to rule over it, with the Mayor at its head. This Parliament apparently has virtually unlimited power, and allows private citizens to present political videos before it (Red-Head did this in 'BLOB 6: Secret of the Blobtonite').
The city has a Police Force, but also apparently a Space Sheriff (the position is currently held by BLOB, and its jurisdiction has not yet been defined). It is believed that the city also has its own private military force and base (based on events in 'BLOB 6').

Mad Flamethrower Person-

(No Known Aliases)
Base of Operations: Extremely Combustible Materials Factory, Innocentville.
Origin: Italy(?).
Description: A man with a candle-lighter ("Flamethrower", which apparently sprays gasoline) who likes to watch things burn. He has only rarely managed successfully to ignite anything of note. He is apparently Italian, and sometimes sports a flame-colored moustache. He enjoys eating bananas, and is known to toss the peels away.

Narrator(s)-

They narrate events in BLOB's world. There are a few known:
1. Filipino Narrator- His favorite phrase is 'and so de day was sabed by BWOB!'.
2. Overblown Narrator- He mostly features in the first episode.
